I am very fortunate to work in research, a domain which combines many of my interests and passions. This would not be possible, and I would not be where I am today, without a long list of people who influenced and supported me along the way (knowingly and unknowingly) as well as the institutes and funding sources, financing my research.

Research groups

2025 – Present

Since May 2025 I joined the Product Technology group at the ENTEG institute of the University of Groningen to carry out my NWO Veni funded research on scalable electrochemical systems and components.

2021 – 2025

The Electrochemical Materials and Systems (EMS) group is part of the Chemistry department of the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). It is a great opportunity to be a member of this diverse team of inspiring scientists, pushing the envelope in the field of electrochemistry from fundamentals through materials to systems.

2017 – 2021

During my PhD studies at the Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI) I worked in the Fuel Cell Systems and Diagnostics group (FCSD), a team with expertise in analyzing complex electrochemical systems and strong collaborations.

Funding sources

2025 – Present

My current work is part of the MECS project with file number 21073 of the Veni research programme which is financed by the Dutch Research Council (NWO). Additional funding is given by the University of Groningen (RUG).

2021 – 2025

My first postdoc project received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No. 899987 and the Eindhoven Institute for Renewable Energy Systems (EIRES).

2017 – 2021

The research I carried out during my PhD time was funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) under the grant No 169913.
